The CTN is the product of an unprecedented statewide coalition of healthcare, technology, government, and other stakeholders, that drafted a proposal in spring 2007 to the Federal Communications Commission. The Center for Telehealth & E-Health Law (CTeL) was created in 1995 as the Center for Telemedicine Law under the vision and leadership of a number of individuals including Dr. Yadin David, Bob Waters, the Mayo Foundation, the Cleveland Clinic, the Midwest Rural Telemedicine Consortium, Texas Children’s Hospital. CTeL's mission is to overcome the legal and regulatory barriers to the utilization of telehealth and related e-health services.

CfTH is the coordinator and facilitator for the integration of Telehealth programs at the University of New Mexico (UNM) Health SciencesCenter (HSC) and other state partners. CfTH is available to help programs interested in integrating Telehealth into their initiatives.Providing technical, network, business, and operational planning and design.Connecting providers, patients, administrators, across the state, across the nation and across the world. There are 100 sites in NM connected involving several health care provider organizations.

The Colorado Telehealth Network is a state wide network for the integration of healthcare data providing accurate and time sensitive medical data to the Health Care Providers of Colorado. The Colorado Telehealth Network was created with awards from the Federal Communications Commission. Two awards were given to Colorado in December 2007 totaling $9.8M and requiring a 15% matching fund from the participating Health Care Providers.

The Kansas University Center for TeleMedicine & TeleHealth (KUCTT) of the Kansas University Medical Center (KUMC) is a leader in telehealth services and research. During that time, over 13,000 clinical consultations have been conducted across 30 specialties, making the KUCTT one of the most active telemedicine programs in the world.
